It's no surprise that San Francisco's Mulholland brothers got into the leather goods business. Their great-great grandfather was an Irish immigrant who crafted animal harnesses. The craft was past through their father, himself a saddle maker. The brothers' first attempts at making leather goods centered on handcrafted flyrod and rifle cases. As it turns out, they happened to nail those designs on their first try.
