The Sherry Tweed collection gets its name from its origins in the Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borderlands. This area is home to Holland & Sherry and stretches from beautiful high rolling hills to the west, through to its rugged east coast. The famous River Tweed flows through the valleys to the sea at Berwick upon Tweed. The final twenty miles of its journey defines the border between Scotland and England.
The attractiveness of this tweed lies in its wonderful colorings. These are achieved by mixing several hues of pure new wool dyed fleece. Once the yarn is interlaced to create the woven fabric, up to six colors can be present in the ground cloth, giving the fabric its special vibrancy.
