A date nail is a nail with a year stamped on its head. The year is given in terms of the last 2 digits, e.g. '41' represents 1941. Date nails were driven into railroad dies, bridge timbers, utility poles, mine props, and other wooden structures for record keeping purposes. Most were made of steel and measure 2 1/2" long, with 1/4" shanks. Tokens & Icons mills the shank diameter down to create a post-style cuff link.
Available years range from 1930 to 1970. Please know that the date nails have varying degrees of wear, and that they're matched up in appearance as best as possible. Due to the (obviously) limited availability of material, we cannot guarantee that every year will be in stock.
Each pair of cufflinks comes with a certificate of authenticity, which is hand signed and individually numbered. If you're looking for the perfect small novelty gift for for yourself of someone you know, look no further!
