55 Sullivan Place, in Brooklyn, New York. The address is either
in the Flatbush or Crown Heights neighborhood, depending on who you
ask. But one thing is certain: This is the former site of Ebbets
Field, home of the New York Brickley Giants (NFL), the Brooklyn
Tigers (NFL), the Brooklyn Dodgers football team, the other
Brooklyn Dodgers football team, and, of course, the world-famous
Brooklyn Dodgers, of the National League, who played here
During that era, the team had a roster of names like Gil Hodges, Roy Campanella, and they broke down the color barrier in 1947 with the signing of #42, Jackie Robinson.
The team won the World Series in 1955, but the victory was short-lived, as the team was relocated to Los Angeles after the 1957 season, leaving a city of heartbroken fans to watch their mythic stadium torn down to make way for high-rise apartment buildings.
Still, the story lives on. As you can see from the pictures, those seats were ready-to-be salvaged. And thanks to Tokens & Icons, you can now wear a part of history on your sleeve, in vintage Brooklyn Dodgers blue.
Tokens & Icons Cufflinks are innovative, stylish, and unique. Each pair of cufflinks comes with a certificate of authenticity, which is hand signed and individually numbered. If you're looking for the perfect small novelty gift for for yourself of someone you know, look no further!
