Philadelphia's Shibe Stadium was the first steel-and-concrete
baseball stadium at the time of its opening in 1909. Though the
worn maroon color of these cufflinks will be most identifiable to
Phillies fans, the stadium was also home to baseball's Philadelphia
Athletics (1909-1954; now the Oakland A's) and the NFL's
Philadelphia Eagles (1940, 1942-1957).
The Phillies played their last game at Shibe in 1970. A fire severely damaged the structure in 1971. And it was finally torn-down in 1976--but not before a few seats were salvaged from the grand old hulk. This is your chance to wear a piece of history.
